Payment to Cancer Research UK

Party people, I'm pleased to announce that we'll be writing a cheque for ?1,202.07 to Cancer Research UK, being the proceeds from the Summer Porno Party.

The mobile ticket sales were my bright idea, but didn't prove the amazing success I'd hoped. After deduction of VAT, network costs and rental of the 79910 short code, this yielded ?652.57.

?1,590 was taken on the door and ?370 was taken by the two lap dancers, giving a total income of ?2,612.57.

The costs were:

Venue hire: ?750
DJs: ?250
Pole hire and delivery: ?376
Delivery of sponsor goody-bags, etc. to the venue: ?34.50

As the first of its kind, we're pleased with the way things went, and look forward to repeating the event in a few months time - with some lessons learned, particularly regarding how tickets are sold. !happy!

can we have an xmas version - somewhere in London (centralish?) -felt like I was in the suburbs and "sarf of the river " is no place to get a cab at 1am!

We too found the joys of getting a cab at daft o'clock a bit scarey in that area to say the least lol ut all's well that ends well!
