Hey Scott this is only my 2 cents worth, but I am close to the ground when it comes to the UK adult licensed shop trade. I would never dare risk going to market with a purely solo girl DVD. By all means a film with couples groups etc with a solo or two in the mix. If you decide to go ahead with it, I would make sure you get enough extra softer footage to think about releasing an 18 rated version at sometime as I reckon this market would be more receptive to solo.
I'm sure you'll get other good advice so just worth mentioning again this is a gut feeling and not based on anything concrete.

Not looked at the US market for some time but when I did solo DVD's they produced all the models had a special talent, EG use big toys, squirted.
Personally, only if you could find girls who can do something a little different than the normal solo scene then I?d think they would not be much call for it. There are lots of UK websites that have solo toy scenes, including my own, so I?m not sure it would sell well to recuperate the costs involved in releasing a DVD.

You may be right, I was expressing only my personal feelings about it, however I have a lot of sales calls to make to the licensed sex shops this week, so I will ask for some feedback on this, not least because I have a personal project coming up in the future and I could benefit from the feedback myself.
Androm is right on the money with his comment that you probably need something different, and you too, when you say, there is just too much B/G material on the market for anyone product to stand out. Again this is where having something different to the norm helps.
At the end of the coming week I'll come back here and let you know what the folks in the shops think about it. Where DVD is concerned it only really matters what the shops think, because if they don't like it, the punters will never see it.
