University College Dublin Pornography Debate

On September 17th 2008, the U.C.D. Literary And Historical Society shall be debating the merits of pornography. To get a true account of what the industry is like we would like one (or more) performer from the adult industry in Britain.

Last year we had a debate on the same issue where we packed-out a lecture theatre of 550+ seats.

We would be willing to pay accommodation costs and the price of an economy return air fare.

I can't explain completely how much we would like to have a British adult star over. I feel confident that a trip to UCD, and the great ovation that you will receive here, make this a very special invitation.? Above all, I can promise you a most enjoyable and memorable visit to the college.?

Below is alittle bit about the Literary And Historical Society.

The L&H was founded in 1855 by Cardinal John Henry Newman, and remains to this day at the forefront of student discussion and debate in UCD as the largest and most distinguished university society in the country.? Our former members include six of our eleven Taoisigh (Prime Ministers) and the renowned author, James Joyce.? We have been addressed by every Taoiseach and President of Ireland.? In recent years, figures as diverse as Nobel laureates F. W. De Klerk, John Hume and Seamus Heaney as well as Bob Geldof, Noam Chomsky, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Rt. Hon. Robin Cook, Governor Bill Owens of Colorado and Will Ferrell amongst others have visited the society.

I did go last year, and I had a lovely time. I was a little nervous, espesially when I walked in and there was hundreds of eager eyes on me, but the Debating Team made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed the challenge of doing something different. I was most certainly out of my comfort zone...
