I watched that sex-education V's porn show last night... my hopes weren't high and they were well satisfied by some of the crap spouted.
Did you see this?
Basically anything that has empowered middle-class women... sex-toys - high street sex shops owned by women - the proliferation of sexy lingerie - pills & potions for women... all great, healthy and good. Anything that has anything to do with porn is bad, unhealthy, untrue, devoid of any virtue... etc... blah... Even the male 'pornstar' they wheeled-out was a cunt to us all. Hope nobody ever hires the bastard again!
The presenter asked a load of boys what they thought about shaving pubic hair - some said yes, some no and one said he thinks that men who shave the lot look okay. She responded by saying that this was proof that porn had warped his idea of pubic hair!!! for fuck's sake!
Does Clairol warp her idea of women going grey naturally??? It's just a fucking fashion choice for crying out loud!

The male star was presented as her boyfriend. He may well have been misquoted or his pieces edited to make things seem bad but basically everything he said tore us to bits. He made it sound like EVERY performer MUST do EVERYTHING including shit they don't want to. What was also noticeable was that Donna was NEVER interviewed. (or at least the interviews were not aired). Maybe that's for another programme but maybe it's because she remembered to only say positive stuff!

Avoided the last episode like the plague.
The other episodes made us all look bad enough.
We were subliminally blamed for all the ills of society... and made overtly responsible for corrupting the young.
I was nearly sick!
Their credits featuring that tart Anna Richardson looked like porn, the whole production leaned heavily on the titillation angle and then rubbished us all. What I mean is that they rubbished their own production values!
Couldn't be more annoyed!
Remember that lass Vicky that was looking for stars to appear for her production - I wonder what her opinion on this fiasco would be?
I bet she would think this was fair and reasonable.

I agree that the show wasn't perfect but love it or hate it I'm pleased that it at the very least opened a dialogue about sexual health and sex eduaction.We just really wanted to be as open as honest about porn as we could. A lot of people have slated us for doing the show but were strangley unavailable to participate at the time of filming to ensure that it would be better viewing! Is it any wonder that some people felt that porn was shown in a defamatory light when nobody is willing to talk about it! Personally, I think those people kinda missed the point of the show but hey that's just me. Conversely we have also had some very positive feedback about the show. I would like to thank everybody who has commented as it has certainly made interesting reading.

Such passion and vigour are definitely noted Ugly Daz how ever i totally disagree with you where Damian is concerned and Ive given him props in other threads concerning this but I am concerned that you saw it as bad as you did.

Yeah sure there were a few points that were poorly researched but the beauty of it is that I have been getting feedback from a lot of people about its misunderstand of the consumer more than the porn industry.

Damian stepped up to the task of talking about sexual health and not for one instance did I get the impression that what he was doing was the standard for all other performers at all.

You may have seen him alone and thought he represented the entire male performing contingent. Not once did he say that and even more, if other male performers availed themselves it might have counterbalanced Damians views but such is the suspicion of the adult industry that shows like this will go ahead with or without our involvement and I for one have nothing but respect for Damian for stepping up.

Riding the shit storm of criticisms still puts you in the collective consciousness of people. Shit I didnt even do any talking but my phone has been ringing off the hook all week with people who want dvds, autographs etc (even my fitness trainer has been getting texts about me)

Im more for showing the industry in a balanced light than just out and out positive as that would just come across as self promotional and glamourising a business that is often not so glamourous behind the scenes.

Sorry if my points put any noses out of joint but the simple fact of the matter is that whenever we do anything like this and put ourselves at the mercy of these bastards they destroy us. Look at it this way for a moment...
I had no idea it was you and your feller on that show - just a couple of people in porn right? They managed to make me think that a couple of (obviously) dedicated professionals were no more than a couple of silly, unfortunates who were so desperate for cash that they were prepared to debase themselves for a living. Now I know that's NOT the truth but they even fooled me!
