Any advice for semi pro camcorders

Hi has anyone got any opinions on the best semi pro camcorder have been looking at the Sony AR1E but it has a cmos lens and sources recommend the 3ccd lens chip any ideas?

The cmos chips are ok but I have heard they are not good in low light levels.

Stick to a 3chip. You can find Panasonic do a cpl of 3chips or of course the quality from a canon.

There is a decent quality sony, its very big though! Its only cheap, in the thousand mark & it brings out great film.

You shall just have to choose a camera & enjoy it. There shall always be something bigger or, lol these days smaller & better.
