Okay everyone is saying a terminal decline in porn but Harmony and Viv Thomas are still booming?

No, "Everyone" isn't saying porn is in "Terminal decline", we, for example, certainly are not in decline, but as usual all the attention has been taken by the odd one or two who believe that they are speaking on behalf of the whole industry. However, I must admit that after travelling all over Europe and speaking to many important players, I have not heard the word, "Boom" used by anyone.

The whole World is still in recession and why should thousands of people lose their jobs and companies collapse, but with all this, good 'ol porn not suffer at all? Sensible people that I have spoken to, use the words, "We are cautiously optimistic for the future."

If I had to bitch that the end is nigh I would have been gone a long time ago. Not constantly say Im retiring then back in two weeks!

Porn as a collective is booming like mad. Theres more people in it, more peopel consuming it than ever before.

Its the trickle down of money and all the various platforms, piracy, torrenting that is impacting on individual investors producing material that suggests a decline in personal profits for many.

I wouldnt take the rants of as few , especially since they dont actually produce as a sign that the business is in terminal decline.

If they invested their hard earned into this business and actually owned their own material then they would realise why people are not keen to employ during lean times but maximise on the sale of what they own.

Even Harmonys sales are down but then who isnt. Even the bg mainstream film mcompnaies are reporting losses as well as the music industry so why not porn too.

If anyhting this business is sucking the money out of people investing in it because if you have too many producers there will also be a lot of casualtys if they are producing the same as everybody else when it is being sold better by those who have been doing it longer.

For example: I was given the heads up the other day that someone is going to do a Real Couples site like that Terry Stephens.

Thats all well and good and indeed they may well be bigger and better than me....But they want to produce on a budget per month that i spend on a shoot that I have far more content on my site and that is what they have to compete with.

My advice would be, go for it dude! I have plenty couples for you wanting your money but if you pay less than me they might not deliver as well as they would for me.

Examples of porns booming everywhere ranges from satellite, mobile phones, internet, magazines, torrent sites...Ther eis so many ways to get porn that if it was all being paid for it would be more bigger than it ever was. As it stands, the consumption of it has tripled in recent years becaise of the sheer availability of it.

The real trick is how to convert that traffic into cash

As posted elsewhere,on the site,I used to make movies in the late 80s/early 90s.Whilst I made money,it was not too much considering the aggro.I then decided that hosting was the way forward-and have never looked back.

However I may make a film in Paris this year.I must be mad-but speak fluent French!

If you have your own product,that's a good start.
