I've been alerted by a friend somebody has made a fake Facebook page of me. If possible can you FB users please report this as a fake page as it has nothing to do with me. The page is under 'people' Harvey Jay

How creepy is that? face book delete profiles by the hundreds every day for all sorts of reasons- im sure if you post them saying its not you it will be removed..or post really rude stuff on it and you wont need say anything,itll just be removed...good luck..x

Can people please report this still if you havent done as it 'was' deleted and now has been put back up again!! Also the people that have reported it are not allowed to re-report it FFS.

Otherwise facebook in itself is fine and does what it is intended for.
If us porn folk just used it without having to promote our porn on it then we wouldnt have the problems of being thrown off.
There are ways to discretely use it for promotion but the moment you post a link to a porn site youre as good as gone

As was explained to me, by FB, is that they're ok with promotion but not solictation so there's a fine line. I think what it means is you can say stuff "like check out my site" but not "I'm looking for models for my adult site". It's just them using the industry as a scape goat so anything that combines sex & meeting in person is going to bring hassle.

FB is full of fakers & hackers so it's a case of being careful about what you put on there. The process of getting a fake profile removed is simple. On every page is a report link, if someone/you provide an email address FB will mail you asking you to send a verification pic, the one of you holding your passport, & it'll be removed. There is actually so much of this fakery across all social networking sites that I've heard that they're likely to make it a criminal offense under indentity theft legislation because the ammount of legal action celebrities are taking/planning to take is going to burden the civil courts.

Matt, i have got friends/family to report the page, it has been removed once and now put back up again and those that have already reported it are not allowed to do so a second time, it takes the piss!
Also do Facebook actually have an actual email to report such things as im not even a 'normal' member and do not intend to be.
I mailed info@fb but not heard a thing back, they are crap.

The only thing you can do is get people to continue to report it until the email address being used gets black-listed, assuming it's the same one.
Facebook have a habbit of disabling their email addresses due to the number of people mailing them to complain about fakers, as they realised that it encourages people to set up their own genuine profile as an easier alternative to report fakers.
I've always been in contact with them through the site messaging system which is the only reason I'm still on there as no other way to contact them with my arguement.
