XBiz.net London Gathering: adult industry evening

Hi everyone,
I know some of you on the boards here are already members of www.Xbiz.net but thought it might be of interest to those not familiar with the site or the forthcoming networking evening in London in July.

Xbiz is the US-based global adult industry publication, with online and offline publications. Their industry-only networking site www.xbiz.net allows industry-only professionals the chance to make new contacts and explore commerical opportunities.

Earlier this year, the London Gatherings were set up to bring together xbiz.net members from the UK for an evening where we could all meet up face-to-face rather than at respective ends of a computer. After the initial success of the first one, the event is now establishing itself as a valuable and enjoyable occasion to network within the industry.

The Gathering is not sector-specific within the overall adult industry; so there is the opportunity for perfomers, photographers, talent agencies, producers, mobile, payment providers, webmasters, to all congregate and explore cross-sector partnerships. This melting pot of industry talent is in itself for many people a key reason for attending. So whatever the sector you're in, if you're professionally involved in the industry, you're more than welcome to attend.

The third XBiz.net London Gathering will be held on Tuesday 13th July in a central London bar. The event and xbiz.net is self-regulated to ensure that only industry professionals attend. Therefore venue time and details etc are only available on a specific discussion thread on the XBiz.net website.

How do you ascertain people are who they say they are?

Are the teaboys from BakAttak Video Productions in Streatham allowed to attend? We dont have a website yet but plan on having a pay site next year types so we want to network now

Membership to www.xbiz.net is subject to verification. Not claiming the process is 100% successful, but between the site verification process and the other site members themselves things have run very smoothly so far, I'm glad to say.

Whilst I can empathise with your situation, and in no way condone alleged 'muck-spreading' (and have no personal knowledge of this alleged happening) I'd prefer if this matter was dealt with diplomatically and not in a public forum. This is to the benefit of all attendees.

Just venting... the last webmasters meet was a pretty bad result for me, and I wasnt even there lol !

I was going to go, wish I had... would of been interesting to see if certain people were as gobby with me there lol...

So whats this meet all about ? I been out to XBiz events a few times in the USA... ???

Hold on a minute - you mentioned 'webmasters meet' - I think you may be confusing the XBiz.net meetings with something else!

It really is a simple premise behind the networking evenings: we meet, we talk, we enjoy the company.

Yes you're right. As I originally mentioned in my first posting, XBiz.net is the the industry networking website belonging to XBiz.com. The London Gathering was founded with the express aim of enabling XBiz.net members based in the UK the opportunity to meet face-to-face.
Simples! (can't do the meerkat noise, sorry!)
