Bluebird sites hacked.....

.....again for the second time in a few weeks. Someone's got it in for them.

It's because their security is a joke, they were hacked sometime last year as well and all the customers data was leaked, but the website was not defaced so i think the majority of people were not aware. They try to tell their customers that their personal information is on another server so its safe, however the BB web server of course needs to access this every time somebody signs up, puts in CC details, logs in etc etc and so the hackers can just mimic the web server's cmds to also access that data.

Hardly surprising though as in May you could visit certain pages on the BB sites and it would show you the php code used and all the variables they assigned, because they had left out the <?php identifier for the php processor.

Some adult sites just don't take security serious enough, earlier this year one of the other big UK sites, which has been around for a long time also had its Databases accessed for everybody to see, if it helps put anybodies mind at rest, the site in question didn't begin with K.

This is only an issue, I would think, with the very big sites who do their own billing.
Most adult sites by far use a payment service provider like CCBill or Epoch in which case the customer data goes straight into the payment service provider's database and are not saved on the adult site itself.
