I've been accused of being alarmist...

Obviously I don't accept that, though I do understand why I am being accused of it.

My opinion is born out of my experience and knowledge of biohazards. Angel spoke strictly of HIV - I'm talking in more general terms not just HIV. I accept that the industry does not insist on certificates for anything other than HIV so discussing the other nasties is perhaps, in this context irrelevant.

If there is one thing to have come out of this episode it is perhaps raised awareness and people are now asking the right sort of questions as a result of it. I acknowledge that I have apparently upset many people by asserting my opinion - there has never been any malicious intention, just a desire to raise awareness of a possible route of infection (for any number of diseases) which is not commonly considered.

I'd also like to add that when I have mentioned "amateur" that has been a reference to 'uncertificated' persons - just to clear up any misunderstanding.

Also - to Sandie... well, she has bore the brunt of much of this. Sandie should very much be commended for the way in which she has reacted to this sudden awareness. I know she is "beating herself up over it" and she shouldn't be. She's given punters what they wanted. She's reassessed what she's been offering in the light of discussion on this forum and she has taken RAPID action to remedy what MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be a risk... Sandie - you are to be commended for that - as should Mr Crome - who also stated he had reassessed the way he inteded to run parties in the future.

Basically, I'd simply like to add this;

I echo Marcus Allen's suggestion that anyone who is concerned should seek advice from a medical professional.

I apologise profusely to those who feel I may be guilty of malicious scaremongering - it was not, is not and has never been my intention.
