NEW RELEASES

Post by Remington Steel »

Alec, copies of latest vids on the way.
Just a suggestion for the reviewing of new films. At the moment unless one knows the name of a star or the name of a film it is difficult to find a review with the system you have at present.
Would it be a good idea to have a separate section for new releases, updated say monthly? This way all the new vids are listed they could then be back catalogued and listed either by producer or Title or release date.
I know this can involve more work but... Labour of love or what!
If you need web space we are prepared to provide it, for free to you. And no, we do not seek favourable reviews of our titles, although they all deserve it.

We will also provide review copies of our entire product range to recognised reviewers.

i put this idea forward a while back and it is a possibility. as ever, the team at bgafd have only limited resources at their disposal - especially, in terms of the finding the time necessary to do it!

dare i say, producers such as yourself might find a high profile presence on the site for your new releases, worthy of some sort of contribution towards the maintenance of bgafd.

this site is getting an awful lot of hits, nowadays and it's success indicates that it's only going to get bigger!

The way the reviews are arranged is an aspect of the web design which is far beyond my competence - it's down to Phil K and I'm sure he would take your useful suggestions on board, when he has the time to do it. At the moment there is a workaround via the history section which includes an update summary. This may do part of what you suggest.

Again web hosting is something he may well get in touch with you about. Thanks a lot for the offer, thanks for the suggestions and thanks very much in advance for the review copies. Looking forward to watching them.

Alex, purely out of interest (and please tell me if it is confidential) approximately how many hits/unique users does this site get weekly/monthly?

If I understand some figures that Phil K sent me correctly it's over 190,000 per day

Yes, that's individual requests. Approximately 2,500 distinct visitors per day at the last count.
