Self pity is worring about newcomers taking bits of the market instead of getting in there carving a section for yourself the hard way which we have to, i agree Terry does get some flack which he don't deserve as his about the best out there at the moment with his own style of camera work filming real people which goes down well with the public. He should get producer of the year in a real honest industry but we will see.

Phil Phil Phil ! chill out theres nothing big in going through the crap you talk about above, anyones who's anyone has been through the same.
All i was interested in was how the awards were judged by sales or by a drunken night in with the so called goodfellas, as i'm new to the site i don't know how things work in the industry & voicing an opion don't warrent the feed back i'm getting here after all the site is supposed to be for women & not a bunch of men who think they walk on water. Alright you've been around for a few years but who cares as all that is important at the end of the day is sales, to film with a point & shoot camera or a ?5000 model its the person using it that counts, i might be outspoken & not fit into the good little girl keep your mouth shut & legs open rule but those days have gone & will never be back i'm afraid. Keep patting yourselfs on the back telling each other how good you are & you might convince the rest of us in the end.

Personally I think the only reason we are now catching up with the rest of the world is reflected in one word: THE INTERNET! When the establishment saw they couldn't possibly hold back the floodgates of porn coming in on everyones pc's, they threw in the towel.

I agree with David; it was the internet that changed the rules. The internet has also demonstrated to the powers- that-be that porn is popular and not just the preserve of a few Gannexed old men. If something is popular, there are votes in it.

Also until recently the govt. was run exclusively by ex public schoolboys whose views on sex were coloured by being buggered in the dorm after lights-out and would rather that the whole business were swept under a thick shag pile.

I always remember an anecdote about Norman Fowler, a minister under the Thatcher govt. He was just leaving a meeting about the spread of Aids and turned to an assistant and asked, "This oral sex we've been talking about - do we have figures on how many people do this?"
