Hey Ben. Where have you been? You have missed all the "lets slag ofF Sullivan" threads. I thought you would have been first in line to have a pop at the diminutive little chap with the bulging wallet.

I'd like to (metaphorically) shake Ben's hand for not playing the Sullivan game. If other producers and distributors were as principled (instead of taking the king's half a farthing and deluding themselves that they had struck an excellent deal) little Dave would have to sing to our tune, or else find himself with no hardcore stock to sell.

If distributors and ultimately punters do not pay a viable price for the product they claim to promote and support, then the sex business will remain in the gutter. Which is exactly where little Dave wants to keep it. After all he has done very well for himself while this sorry state of affairs has prevailed.

Dr No. - Prescribes that punters should cross the threshold of downmarket sexstores, nor buy any cheap, tacky videos.

I have managed to find a good shop for Ben films 'pulse and cocktails'.I know there are a few here in south yorks,not sure about rest of country.
The other good thing i found there was they didn't try to sell you another film you didnt particulary want in the first place! (private anyone?)

Answer is mail order.
You all moan and complain about DS but still patronise his shops, thereby adding to the the problem.
Why not do what the smart/clever people do-buy by mail order from reputable co's

Marcus your correct. That is why I can honestly say I have never set foot in a sex shop in my life. Why bother when mail order is easier and cheaper. And with mail order you dont get some knuckle dragger trying to sell you something you dont want.

All you clowns out there who whine about this and that re sex shops and/or orders should take advice from learned friend(executive director of D&P) and order direct. Our mail services are guaranteed and unparalled-as most people know.

Sorry Marcus, Ive forgotton who is the executive director of D&P? Is it you , JJ, or me, or someone else? Forgetfulness is a hazard of the job for me, as is my occasional bad spelling.

Is there any good drink available mail order? My local off-licence is getting too pricey and the range is crap (just like private shops, eh).

I would heartily agree, competition is the factor here.

I have been to the London (Brewer St.) Private shop and
had reasonably priced magazines, reasonably priced videos
and decent service.

I have also been to the Glasgow & Manchester shops and seen
the same products at double/treble the price and been
served by disinterested staff.

The difference is the Brewer St. shop has four or five
competitors right next door.

Oh to have a better geographical distribution of independent
sex shops.

.......and the Glasgow/Manch. situation is what we can expect if DS gets a monopoly.
