Kilroy? Any opinions?
Re: Kilroy? Any opinions?
Apparently the main headline was different to that one run in the week which said "What have Arrabs done for the world" or sometning along those lines.
As the great scholar say's "Anybody who said they are a Brain Surgeon are really a Taxi Driver?"
Re: Kilroy? Any opinions?
Plus, at the time, there were things happening in the world. It looks like some bored newspaper/broadcaster has decided to resurrect it to cause just the furore and headlines there have been.

But Trisha can't be all bad. She did have Cathy Barry on her show. (Thinks...Now where is that tape?).

Re: Kilroy? Any opinions?
Kilroy-Silk may rather creepy and oily and host a daytime tv show that normal people should NOT BE WATCHING. But.....he's entitled to his opinion. It's called free speech in a relatively open democracy. Just the sort of thing Kilroy-Silk decries about 'Arab' nations.
Very few people seem to have actually read his piece before they thundered onto the forum. It reads fairly simplistically and harmlessly to me. Other BBC employees write columns far more inflammatory than Kilroy-Silk. If you read the Sunday Times you can have the pleasure of reading Jeremy Clarkson and John Humphreys' stuff which is often much more extreme. I find myself agreeing here with some of Bimmercat's statements re : liberal views. Those who hold them seem to be extraordinarily illiberal toward those with differing opinions.
The meat of Kilroy-Silk's piece has some uncomfortable stuff for the 'Arab' nations and for those in the West seeking accommodation and appeasement. I think perhaps if this were written in other papers by others then none of this would have happened.
And the BBC have acted in a truly craven manner.
NB : The emotive stuff written about 'nationalism' seems to me to have absolutely no fucking idea whatsoever of the meaning and importance of 'Arab' nationalism. For many 'Arabs', it means more to them to many of us ; naive is he/she that uses such a term in relation to 'Arabic' countries thinking it is pejorative.

John Stapelton!, yes Maggs, and he,s actually a seious journo! before taking the GMTV shilling!, but I guess he has to pay the rent . I probably have a deeper loathing of all things Feltz, a deeply unpleasant character in my opinion! wha has tried to ressurect a carreer based on personal misery, at least Clapton had some real misery, and is a reasonable guitarist, nothing worse than a woman scorned eh!

Re: Kilroy? Any opinions?
"What Kilroy Silk said was not untrue"
Huge swathes of it were untrue - and the bit about "what have the Arabs done for us" was ignorance beyond belief.
"if anybody can convince me that there have been no suicide bombings, or women being stoned because of some minor infraction of muslim law, then i will be more than willing to codemn RKS."
And why does this mean that all Arabs are suicide bombers as RKS said?
Caucasians are responsible for multiple genocides - does this mean that we all support genocide?
"I cannot see any difference beween what has been said either by RKS or AH the only difference is because a white man has said something not so politically correct he is obviously racist."
The major difference is that RKS has a 5 day a week show on the BBC - it would be difficult for the BBC to sack Abu Hamza.
"But i will say this, i have nephews2yrs and 14months old, and i seriously fear for their future in this country, and you know why? because at sometime, someone is going to object to having let say WHITE in the colours of the union jack, and at that point because everyone will want to be PC it will be removed, thats how crazy this situation has got."
Complete rubbish - you live in a predominantly white country where all the positions of power in the military, judiciary, government, business, media, police etc etc are held by white people - and yet you "seriously fear" for white people in this country. Think about it and grow up.
