Lucy Pinder will apparently be going topless this summer in the Star, and she has hinted she'd also probably do a full nude shoot at some point as well. Whether or not this materialises or not remains to be seen...but if I were her I wouldn't wait too long to do it, because the passage of time works a lot quicker and more noticeably on top-heavy girls. That and the fact that she risks losing the interest of the public if she strings it out much longer, like a girl will only get so many dates before she is expected to deliver the goods or get dumped in favour of another girl who can and will.
Frankly, I tend to think she'd be a lot more popular (like Michelle Marsh, for example) if she stopped being such a wet blanket and got them out. I also think it will be a terrific anti-climax when she does though, simply because the event has been built up so much. It must be a bit annoying for the Star's regular Page 3 girls as well, as she is regularly featured on Page 3 of the Star, but doesn't do the same job as the rest of them. There's gratitude for you....it would be like me applying to be in the Dreamboys, but saying that whilst I will dance, I won't take my clothes off. It defeats the object of the role entirely, and would have me taking work away from other people for only doing half the job.
With regards to the FHM wannabes....get real! I don't recall them giving any great deal of work to any regular models or girls off the high street...they're more interested in 'actresses' and 'singers' etc. who pose for racy pics, and if they are going to feature a non-celeb, it will most likely be one of the more prominent Page 3 girls. True, they have their High Street Honey competition, but how many household names has that gone on to produce? As you say, someone has filled their head with unrealistic expectations. Still, that's their problem....if they want to wait on FHM or whoever, I tend to think they'll be waiting a long time.
