hmm - I'm sure it was Stonehenge where I saw them - maybe it was the year after then. I went to a lot of festivals those days.
Happy daze.

Re: Led Zep's "Achille's last stand"
I got into Led Zep quite late (about the time of Physical Grafitti) - "Achilles" has always been one of my fav tracks - Bonzo's drumming never lets up.
The Led Zep Double DVD is a must - "Song Remains The Same " is OK, but the former shows a band consistently at the top of their game over about 12 years.
As an aside, I saw Heart at Hammersmith Odeon last week(refuse to call it the "Carling Apollo"!!) and the last two encores they did were "Black Dog" and "Misty Mountain Hop". hey could never match Zep on those songs but they had a bloody good try!!
Re: hyde park
I'm pretty sure it was 1976 around the time of the "Day At The Races" album.

No way. When the Levee Breaks, The Rain Song and Rock n' Roll beat it to a pulp. There are many superior songs in their catalogue.

Led Zep 4 has been played to death IMO, I have the remasters CD and love Kashmir and Trampled Underfoot from Physical Graffitti I believe. Not a huge fan, but can see why people rave about them. Mind you, everything thats wrong about Stadium Rock can be attributed to Zep who really started it all off
The West London of my youth is now on dvd
