I'm looking for a half-decent search engine.
Now before you all scream "Google", I'm pissed off with it- it is pretty crap for finding INFORMATION, as it is way too commercial.
As opposed to finding info, you initially get a link to wikipedia, then about 500 links to sites SELLING a product with tenuous connections to your query.
So, does anyone know of search engines that cut through this commercial pish? I'm beginning to find that Google is becoming a glorified Yellow Pages.
Good search engines.

Re: Good search engines.
I googled
and came up with this discussion paper from 2004 about commercial vs non-commercial with links to sites offering the best links on various subjects
I agree that google, yahoo, msn, jeeves are next to useless since wiki began for real information that can be trusted

Re: Good search engines.
Google is far too vague and general. Finding specific information on the net is difficult.

What about Firefox?
