I have been directing 24 years and with very few
exceptions INSIST on stockings , suspenders or some clothes
left on for all, or at least, MOST of my scenes (some 3000 +).
Having shot in E Europe and living here I can
count on one hand the number of porn girls we have here

From what I've seen of the Pirate series though, it appears to lean more towards the fetish market (whip-wielding blondes in rubberwear / PVC / etc.) as opposed to the more classy stockings & suspenders - but maybe I've simply overlooked some essential titles in the series.

Nylonic? I'm aware of them too, and it has to be said that and they've served up some very nice material. On the downside though, I do find that the sets on a fair few of their films tend to be very over-illuminated and garish, which does detract somewhat.

At the other extreme there's Dorcel. True, many of the films emanating from that stable to feature impossibly gorgeous (mainly Eastern European!) girls wearing stockings & lingerie, but the finished product often suffers from the sets being far too dimly lit - and usually with the added porn no-no of condoms (though I'm given to understand that the latter is at least partly pandering to the demands of French cable TV companies who wish to be seen as "responsible" in terms of putting out a "safe sex" message).

Do I sound like a finicky cunt? Well maybe I am! But I prefer to think of myself simply as a bloke who knows what he wants.

What I'm talking about Frank isn't just the classic French-produced Ricaud / Barny material from the '80s and '90s (and VTO as well - before they went all studio-bound and samey circa 1988).

There was also some terrific material coming out of Italy in the early to mid '00s, featuring (again, mainly Eastern European) models like Krystal De Boor, Brigitta Bui, Jane Darling, Alexa May, Eva Falk et al, and with people like Ricky Grimaldi / Andrea Nobili at the helm.

Now THAT material is the dog's whatsits in terms to stockings porn, and is the sort of standard that producers / directors / companies should be aiming for if they're serious about making high-quality material to cater to the nylons niche (forget your arty-farty lighting, slo-mo, soft-focus and all that malarkey!).

I live in Germany, and I'm sad to say that most German porn these days is extremely substandard - not just in terms of a lack of stockings (those hold-ups are about as good as it gets most of the time, but to me at least they're a bit of a half-assed, lazy solution) but just as crucially also in terms of production quality and the quality of the models. And as for US porn? What can I say except forget it - their whole industry is just a barren fucking desert for us stockings fetishists (though it's a veritable Nirvana for the "tattooed Barbies" camp).
