for them to see it all back in the media spotlight yet again

I hope they do eventually find out who was responsible for that crime

Not sure that the discovery of Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol's bodies helped their families. If anything, it may have brought their ordeal into a concrete form rather than the vague fears the families had coped with for years.

It's about time the media stepped forward and took some responsibility. Almost 30 years on from the Yorkshire Ripper, and the headlines and broadcast soundbites all concentrated on the victims being prostitutes, as if that made them less than human. Is there still an attitude of "she was asking for it"? Whatever they did and whatever they became, these were still someone's daughters and sisters and, in a couple of cases, mothers.
