Was his tongue in cheek -

Post by Alex L »

or is it what any defence lawyer would say:

"Wright's defence counsel will argue that the 49-year-old serial killer would pose no danger if released after 30 years."

From:

Is it too much of a coincidence that Wright once worked with Suzy Lamplugh, will there be a connection?

There are also four or five prostitutes that went missing in East Anglia in the last 20 years that Knacker wants to question him about.

He not only worked with Lamplugh, he stayed in contact with her afterwards and sometimes met her in London for drinks.

Yes, seems like there is a lot more to unfold.

I really feel sorry for the Lamplugh family. Every time a serial killer goes
down they seem to link him with Suzy's murder. It must be heart breaking
for them to see it all back in the media spotlight yet again

I hope they do eventually find out who was responsible for that crime

Although there are connections with her and Wright it doesn't seem to
gel with the style he mudered the Ipswich girls

Thought John Cannan was prime suspect in the Suzy Lamplugh case?

Cannan was the prime suspect. But without a confession, the police are relying on luck in finding a body.

Not sure that the discovery of Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol's bodies helped their families. If anything, it may have brought their ordeal into a concrete form rather than the vague fears the families had coped with for years.

It's about time the media stepped forward and took some responsibility. Almost 30 years on from the Yorkshire Ripper, and the headlines and broadcast soundbites all concentrated on the victims being prostitutes, as if that made them less than human. Is there still an attitude of "she was asking for it"? Whatever they did and whatever they became, these were still someone's daughters and sisters and, in a couple of cases, mothers.
