In reality I don't think it's acceptable for anyone to be beaten or mugged. But this woman and her cronies are a big part of the problem , they created the environment that let the thugs breed out of control. So in a democratic society they need to take their share of the bad times - and if that means them taking a beating, that's how it has to be. Maybe it'll bring them to their senses.

When MP's make laws they don't think of the consequences for decent people in many cases, so in a case like this you need to detach yourself from the fact it was a 50 year old woman and concentrate on it being a snout-in-the-trough MP.

The kids that mugged her were born in, reared in, and partly educated in Tory Britain. They were reared by parents that were reared in, educated in, and gave birth to these 'muggers' in Tory Britain. The kids AND parents learnt their morals in Tory Britain.

Labour may be to blame for not reducing crime enough, but cannot be blamed for it's creation.
