He'll get infinately more protection from the refs in that league, as they don't particularly allow tackling there, something which Fergie wanted banned over here. (Only on his players, though)
We have need of you again, great king.

This will be the biggest test for Ferguson I feel, ok they have let big name players go in the past and he has by and large been proven right. But with Ronaldo I don't see anybody that will replace him - a wide player that scores over 25 goals a season (and takes two opposing players with him everywhere he goes) ... fucking no chance.

I really just cannot wait until all those whinging Mancs start saying "we should have never sold Ronaldo" as these are the same moaners who proclaimed "get rid of him, he is not a team player - doesn't track back".

With him gone and far too much dead wood in the squad as it is they have next to no chance of winning anything next year .... unless Fergie has a few tricks up his sleeve.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Crofter, have you stopped to think what a phenomenal acheivement it was to win 3 consecutive premier league titles ? To put it into perspective they've won it as many times in the last three years as Arsenal have ever won it. Isn't that amazing ? So whether or not they win it next year, remember the achievement, likely to be unequalled in the next 10 years.

I wonder how long it will be until stories start to appear in the press of him slagging off this country

At this difficult time, please spare a thought for all the escort agencies in the Greater Manchester area which have lost one of their best clients.

Ronaldo is a quality player as we all know and as a United fan sorry to see him go but if truth be told he didnt play for the team last year he played for himself. This deal was probably in the pipeline some 9 months ago so good luck to him and all the best at Madrid. Will this improve Real Madrid who can tell but i wouldnt be putting my hard earned cash on them for nothing next year, then swap managers like theres no tmrw and Defensivley they are shocking they should have brough some decent Defenders. United will no doubt spend the cash on Valencia from Wigan and Ribbery.

Opta stats for Man Utd and win percentages:

With Rooney and Ronaldo both starting - 71%

With Rooney on his own - 74%

With Ronaldo on his own - 69%

Rooney looks like the main man, here. Of course, these stats don't take into account the opposition played when it was just Rooney or Ronaldo on their own but interesting nonetheless.
