I was meaning the SMP elections. Surely when people voted for the S.N.P. they knew that this was likely to happen. The Partys named after the issue for gods sake.

JR, interesting you mention 'Braveheart', it was described as the most historically inacurate film ever made. Many Scots historians were flabbergasted at what they were seeing. Everything about it was inaccurate, Scots in those days didnt even wear kilts, yet everyone in the film did. Nor did Scots live in the kind of settlements depicted. Many other things about their clothes were wrong too. The SNP were apparently giving out "we want independance and if you do too then join our party" leaflets outside cinema's where Braveheart was being shown, and this was also at the time when Alex Salmond was refering to Scottish people living in England as "ex-patriots". I personally thought the film was ridiculous. Mel Gibson was too old to be playing the part of Wallace. He was about 40 and his beau in the film was about 20. In real life that woman wasnt born until many years after Wallace died - one of many inaccuracies in the movie.

Don't you think England should have a say on the break up of the Union also? And the Scots in the London government will not be welcome anymore if Scotland and England seperate.
