Re: Firefox 3.5.3
Thanks for that link Deuce - lots of handy info.
BTW I was talking to one of the I.T. nerds at work about browsers today and he said that Microsoft had withdrawn support for IE8 for a while recently because it had serious security issues. So I guess you're right about avoiding anything prefixed with IE.

Re: Firefox 3.5.3
Microsoft have never withdrawn support for any of their products due to security issues, by its vary nature, they support them by supplying the patch. Like all other major software companies, they only withdraw support when the product becomes End Of Life (EOL)

You're probably right. I dunno why it wasn't cracked in March, then. Money/hardware is at stake after all (???)! Mind you, I did say it was only safer than Safari !wink!

I'm sure i read support for number 2 versions has or will cease soon
Using old outdated technology which has knwon security flaws is worse than using the newest upgrades which is having issues
using an alternate browser would be better but each to his/her own

Re: Firefox 3.5.3
Even as vulnerable as IE is its still worth keeping on board for that one site that wont respond to any other browser
From memory windows manual updates require IE
I wonder how many suckers will take up microsofts free liveonecare software...now that is a something they've dropped judging by industry reactions to it going from paid to free
