To get a job I was interested in. You make light of quitting your job and walking around jumble sales but you're doing me a disservice, if I may be so bold as to defend myself. I've already stated that I'm in no way encouraging you to, nor expect you to pack in your job or home. Again, for what must be the 5th or 6th time, I just took issue with you claiming your car was a 'necessity'. It's necessary only to maintain the level of comfort you're accustomed to and that's about it. Servants are 'necessary' to provide the Queen with her breakfast how she's used to in a morning but in the strictest sense they're like your car - a luxury.
Btw, how about a bike in summer? Peddling will keep you fitter and all that extra sunshine and exercise may help you with your irritability. I'm sure a fitter, healthier, less grumpy dad is good for the family.

Would this job you're interested in be a well paid job ?.
Maybe when you leave university and enter the real world your perspective will change.

I don't know, you said you were resting it so assumed you knew more about it than I. Are you all right?

Not particularly well paid, no. And at 33 years old I spent 12 years working in the real world before doing something else with my life. Hard work and long hours too. Don't assume 'student' means 'kid who's wet behind the ears'. As an adult in the real world, like you are, I'd have thought you already know assumptions can make fools of us all.

You've lost me, JRP. Obviously I should have signed up to the gobbledygook class but I couldn't fit it in. Will you oblige me in a little guesswork to find out what the fuck you're on about?
Here goes: You're 'case' against global warming is that I don't drive and I'm a student? I'm sorry if it's inaccurate but you're a little cryptic tonight.

Once again Sam we are on different wavelengths. You say not particularly well paid but that could depend on what you've been used to.
I left college and I wanted to get to the top of my chosen career. Due to circumstances beyond my control that was not possible.
I then decided to take jobs primarily on the financial rewards with job satisfaction and career advancement on the back burner.
Working for 46 hours with no sleep is not exactly fun but getting a big pay check at the end IS.
