Models please give more info about yourselves

People have to contact you to find out basic details !hmmm!, they find out you don't meet their requirements and move on, so you class them as timewasters when infact the timewaster is the person not putting details in adverts.

Most people would send their CV when applying for a job, NOT a scrap of paper saying "I want work, if you want to know anything else contact me".

Timewaster photographers - all part of the territory, but you get used to spotting them. They tend to be vague, asking for rates, without being specific about what they want to shoot.

Tip:-

To all enquries send them your mobile, and say "call me to discuss". Serious photographers will call you.

Good points. How many TV's would Currys sell if they only put plain brown boxes on the shelves saying 'tv ?500' not letting customers know sizes features and stuff, not many I think.

Girls it isn't pick on models time, these guys are trying to point you where you're going wrong and if you sell and promote yourselves better then you should find you'll get more bookings, these guys won't book blind just the same as you wouldn't want to buy a tv blind.

yeh, i get emails too,with no info, no photo's. I used to reply and then get a photo and find out they live in newcastle and i'm miles down south in london. Wasted time.

Hi Trinity/Isobella - Nottingham and York are not too far so that's no problem. I can't find any photos of either of you. I'm sure it might be difficult for some models to have links to photos of themselves or on their profile, so you can e-mail me some photos personally if you like... I'm actually not filming for about a month as I'm taking some time off from filming now but I will be filming again later.

Thanks Roy and Stockie - I sometimes think like you Roy but I'd like to give the models that don't give this basic information the benefit of the doubt and put it down to the fact that they just aren't aware of how important this is... I'm also aware that some models might not know how to put photos on their profiles or might not have any photos of themselves on the net to link to... So I hope models aren't offended by my post. It's mainly to help them and point out what they need to do to get more work. It's also good for us photographers as well, and should save time all round.
