First off I'll answer the bit about Damian by repeating what I said in reply to Donna's post above:

Think about how I was fooled by them into thinking this was some innocent lad who'd been sucked-in rather than a seasoned pro who was just talking openly about his day to day routine.
Lastly, I'm glad you are now being asked for your autograph - well done.
But I'm not sure that all these people, supporting you privately, are more likely (now that this programme has been aired) to support porn openly... what do you think - has this programme helped us all in general? because that's what we should really care about.
You can't pay bills with autographs... and what if stuff like this is used as evidence to bring in more bloody pointless and restrictive legislation?

I've been away for a few days and i thought i'd leave you with my final comments now i'm back.

As Donna said I didn't think the show was perfect. It was badly researched, poorly put together and that female doctor who was talking to the kids about sex health had the public speaking skills of a deaf seal! I was deffinaitly misquoted a couple of times thanks to the edit. So to clear up i love my job! I realy enjoy my straight scenes, who wouldn't! As for "i would do anything for my pay check" i think they were just referring to me doing gay 4 pay. We filmed with them for 3 full 12hr days and most of the points that we realy wanted to make were cut. Having said that, having spoke to alot of the public, the show went down well! People love having an insight into our world. As most of you know i live in wrexham, its a very small minded welsh chav town. Going on tv talking about 'gay for pay' i was expecting a kicking upon leaving my front door, instead its been almost a heros welcome.
So has it helped the porn industry? I think its reminded people that those envolved in porn are just human.
But helping the porn industry wasn't the point for us, it was about sex education and health for teenagers. The biggest issue was showing the difference between reality and fantasy especially when it comes to the lack of condoms in porn. Most non-industry people don't realise we have a strict testing policy in place and the kids need to know that.

The show did try to blame porn for all our underage sex problems in the uk, without looking at the lads mags, page 3, fasion tip programmes telling women to emphasise tits and hips, and every other media that warps peoples minds to what our society finds attractive. Porn isn't completely to blame but we are also a form of media and therefore some of that blame does fall at our feet.

We in the bussiness are used to being persecuted in the mainstream and those not in the bussiness are used to us being used in this way. All media is down to interpretation of the reciever. Some people have been looking for how bad they have portrayed porn and thats what they have found. The general public have taken the programme very much as, 'lets get those pictures and videos off the playground and stop under 18's from being able to view porn so easily'

People here have questioned our motives for doing the show. As we are such a individual case with doing gay 4 pay and being a genuine couple, we are always asked to do these tv things. I have been asked, begged and bribed so many times and i've always said no. Why? because i knew that no-one in the mainstream was gunna show us and porn in a good light. Then channel 4 contacted me with this one and it was close to both our hearts. We do talks at GUM clinics and universities and this seemed like a good educational programme that would further our own personal crusade for better sexual health/education for all.

It was a shame the series had so many problems, however i do think it succeded in its primary aim. Get useless parents to talk to there kids about sex, to get involved in there lives and put there filters on. Lets face it they had to sensationalise and shock to get through to the Jeremy Kyle generation which was their target audience.

A big thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support this week, and an even bigger thank you to those who've been negative on forums because its promoted such good conversation.

You seem to be a rather intelligent and erudite individual Damian - not that I expect anything else from professionals in this (or any business). Unfortunately the TV programme did you a disservice... which I have also come to expect.

I don't think it blamed porn for anything. It just tried to tell kids that porn wasn't the way to learn about love and sex - which I think is right.

Hats off to anyone who contributed, it wasn't particularly judgemental, it didn't pretend that things didn't go on and Anna was quite foxy.

I can't forgive them for showing those STI pics while I was trying to eat though!!!!

Didyou see the one with the Teens all discussing sex- and how the girls ALL shaved downstairs, "cos thats what the boys like/expect"... yet NONE of the lads did!!!! Grrrrrrrrr!

Actually Sara the boys did discuss shaving themselves in one episode and most agreed that a neat approach was best... One lad though, admitted that his favourite look was 'the last chicken in the shop window' (completely shaved). The narrator then told us that this was an example of how porn had "distorted" his ideas about pubic hair. I mentioned this earlier and it's this kind of thing that annoys me because it's so subliminal that many people miss stuff like this.
I think "distorted" is far too emotive a word to use. His ideas about pubic fashions have been broadened yes... challenged even... but DISTORTED?
Basically everything we do is reduced to the level of subversiveness.

Agree completely. Porn was "bad" without a single solid argument to back that up. What a shame - it would be much better to call it "Sex Education AND Porn" and at least try to start with an open mind.

This is the one point I disagree with. Damian was very straightforward about what a real porn shoot can be like. Nothing wrong with that.

Agree 100% - I was throwing things at the TV at that point. She was going out of her way to find negatives about porn, regardless of the facts presented to her.

I should also say that Anna Span was equally pissed off and wrote a good letter to Channel 4 raising her points of annoyance.

I think the point the show missed was that porn reflected the very society we live in. Lets not forget it was exceedingly good sales with the word "anal" in it that precipitated so much being anal heavy in content. If it didnt do well, producers wouldnt have insisted on shooting it, therefore society wanted to see it and dictated this preference through sales.

The shaved downstairs thing is common not because of porn but a modern day preference. I know lots of people who dont really look at porn who do this for reasons of hygiene...and because it makes them feel sexier. Remember back in the 70's porn had bushes galore.

I think the programme gave too much credit to porn when describing its influences on young people and forgetting the real sources of influence that are around us all th etime such as the very same medium of delivery of this show: TV! So thats the pot calling the kettle black and trying to get off the hook when they are much more influential than porn could ever be.

Porn is influenced by what it feels society likes and that is the manufactured look, scuplted physique that is the cosmetic surgery generation.

Modern day glamour and lads mags with Hollywood and its celebrities are solely responsible for this and this is mirrored in porn by girls doing themselves up because they think this is more attractive to men and for the most part it seems to be working.
